DECASAN® in containers — 0.02% decamethoxin solution for inhalation. Possesses a potent antibacterial, antiviral and fungicidal effect. DECASAN® affects ONLY the bacterial cell wall, without affecting human cells.
Decamethoxin (active ingredient of DECASAN®) ⎼ is a surfactant that acts by violating the cell wall integrity. The microbial cell wall consists of short lipid chains that are rapidly destroyed when exposed to DECASAN®. Human cells have a completely different structure, so they remain intact when exposed to decamethoxin.
